1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking or participating in a lesson, you automatically agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all students and, where the student is a minor, their parents or legal guardians. "I", "My", and "Me" Refers to your tutor, from which you booked the lesson.
2. Payment, Pricing, and Adjustments
- Prepayment Required: All services must be prepaid. Lessons will not be confirmed until payment is received in full.
- Annual Price Review: Prices are subject to an automatic annual increase effective on January 1st (New Year’s Day).
- General Price Changes: I reserve the right to modify pricing at any time outside of the annual review.
- Notice Period: You will receive a minimum of 14 days (2 weeks) written notice prior to any price increase taking effect.
3. Student Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Lateness
- Rescheduling Policy: Requests to reschedule a session must be made at least 4 hours prior to the scheduled start time. Requests made within 4 hours are treated as cancellations.
- Cancellation Fees:
- 24+ Hours Notice: No penalty. Full credit is retained or the lesson is rescheduled.
- 12 to 24 Hours Notice: A late cancellation fee applies. You will receive a credit equal to 50% of the lesson fee to be used for the next session.
- Less than 12 Hours Notice: The lesson fee is forfeited in full. No refund or credit will be provided.
- Student Lateness: If the student arrives late, the lesson will still finish at the scheduled end time. No time will be added to compensate for lateness.
- No-Show Policy: If the student does not join the Google Meet link within 15 minutes of the start time, the lesson is considered a "No-Show" and is forfeited in full.
4. Tutor Rights and Service Guarantees
- Tutor Cancellations: I reserve the right to cancel or reschedule lessons at any time due to illness, emergency, or technical issues on my end.
- Compensation: In the event I cannot deliver a prepaid lesson and cannot provide sufficient accommodation for a reschedule, you will be fully compensated/refunded for that specific session.
5. Technology and Requirements
- Platform: All lessons are conducted online via Google Meet.
- Student Responsibility: It is the student's responsibility to ensure their device, internet connection, microphone, and camera are functioning properly before the lesson begins.
- Technical Failure (Student): Lessons lost due to technical issues on the student's end (e.g., internet outage, device failure) are not eligible for refunds or make-up time.
- Environment: Students must be situated in a quiet, well-lit location suitable for learning. Background noise and distractions must be minimized.
6. Code of Conduct and Termination
- Behavior: I maintain a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate, abusive, or disrespectful behavior.
- Right to Terminate: I reserve the right to terminate a lesson immediately or refuse future services if the environment is unsuitable or if the student is uncooperative/disrespectful. In such cases, no refund will be issued for the remaining time.
7. Disclaimer and Liability
Educational Outcomes: While I am dedicated to the student's success, I do not guarantee specific grades, exam results, or academic improvements. Progress depends on the student’s individual effort, engagement, and completion of assigned work.
